About Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority

Welcome to the official portal of Real Estate Regulatory Authority Karnataka. This application has been developed for the benefit of all the stakeholders of the real estate industry more particularly the general public and consumers. This website has been developed under Sec 4(3) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016.

The Department of Housing, Government of Karnataka is the nodal department for implementation of the Act in the State of Karnataka. The Act came into force w.e.f 1st May 2017 and the Rules have been notified by the Government of Karnataka on 10th July 2017.

About RERA Act

The Real Estate Regulation and Development (RERA) Act, 2016 is considered as one of the landmark legislations passed by the Government of India. Its objective is to reform the real estate sector in India, encouraging greater transparency, citizen centricity, accountability and financial discipline. This is in line with the vast and growing economy of India as in future many people will be investing in real estate sector.
